There is a feeling in many of us that there should be special occasion to celebrate themselves. I am totally opposite of it I love to celebrate every single day. You deserve to celebrate yourself. In this post I will be sharing my thoughts about different ways to celebrate yourself and why does it really matter.

In your day today lives we work so hard to accomplish our duties and responsibilities. Have you ever wondered when was the last time you celebrated yourself. May be when you got graduated, may be when you joined in your dream job.
Why not you celebrate your small wins, pursue your passion, join a dance class which you wanted to do for a long time.
I agree Inner beauty is great but little bit of blush won’t hurt anyone. I hope now you are really getting my point about what you have been constantly ignoring.

So here are 12 ways where you can celebrate yourself

01) Unleash your Inner child :
Who said life should be always of responsibilities and duties. Let the inner child in you be alive. For once forget about your routine and do whatever you feel like. May be have a chocolate, call your school friend, play board games, go and play in outdoors. I am just giving some ideas, you just use your imagination and do anything which you wanted to do for long time.

02) Acknowledge even your smaller accomplishments: As a blogger and homemaker I have many things to take care of, but that doesn’t stop me from celebrating even my small wins like if I blog post gets appreciated, my new recipe gets appreciation from my family. These may sound like very small things but celebrating smaller things too gives me immense happiness. So what’s stopping you from celebrating your smallest wins like you got appreciated at your work place, you cooked a wonderful dinner for your family and their joy has no ends. Every single task should be appreciated in the same way whether its small or big.

03) Invest in yourself : Life is too short to think much, all you need is enjoy your passions. Investing in yourself is a great way to enjoy and at the same time you might earn from it. Say you are so much interested in photography and you are thinking from long time to buy  a latest camera. I say you should definitely buy it and who knows you might make it a profession too. Back in 2017 when I just started blogging as a hobby little I knew I would be making it as my career. My thoughts became true and here I am before you. Everyone has some passions may be its like cooking, photography, makeup, gaming, etc. Whatever it might be you should try to invest in yourself and you never knew what’s going to happen. Even though you didn’t end up a career out of a passion, you definitely enjoyed the journey of pursuing your passion.

04) Do something out of ordinary : Doing special things sometimes always excites me. For example you have the habit of having desserts only on occasions then why don’t you indulge in some sweets on a ordinary day. You have the habit of going on date with your soulmate then why don’t you try a new place this time. How about doing something special to your parents. That simple act may give you immense happiness.

05) Give yourself a break: Are you a work alcoholic or someone who doesn’t take any break from work. Why don’t you go on a vacation. You can even go on a solo trip or plan with your loved ones. Definitely travelling to new place will make you happy and relaxed. You can recharge a lot by taking a break sometimes. You can go back to your routine with getting recharged. Even you take a day leave from work and just relax at home doing nothing. Though these tips might sound simple but hey have a lot of positive effects on yourself. IF you are happy then definitely people around yourself are happy too.

06) Get dressed up for no reason: This is a very interesting topic as we recently witnessed a Pandemic and people are suddenly worked from home or still working from home. With lots of work you might also neglect the thought of dressing from home. You may be a homemaker or working from 9 to 5, it will be always amazing when you get dressed up for no reason. It adds a lot of confidence, makes you positive and you will have good vibes around you.

07) Buy something special for you: Close your eyes and find out when was the last time you exclusively bought something for you. It shouldn’t be your birthday or festival to celebrate, buy anything which you make you happy. It may be a outfit, make up, a holiday trip, accessories, gadgets, etc. Spending something for yourself will definitely make you elated. You feel special and have some good vibes around you.

08) Don’t feel guilty : These are the times when you might feel guilty for various reasons. Like you had more ME time, you got up late, couldn’t attend a party, sometimes you are relaxing more and doing nothing. These things might sound small but it will have impact on yourself. It’s really necessary to relax and not feel guilty for everything which happens around you.

09) Be grateful to everything in your life: Practicing gratitude definitely have a great impact on your mental health. Why don’t you send some flowers to the ones you are very near to your heart. Write down the things which you are really grateful in your life. You will definitely love it, you also feel positive and happy. It definitely makes you relaxed and elated.

10) Look at your inner strengths: Not everyone is capable of doing everything. Think about your inner strengths, which will make a smile on your face. Think about the time where you even faced the difficulties and stood up strongly. Write down your inner strengths which will make you happy of yourself and you will be proud of yourself.

11) Make a celebration playlist: Who doesn’t love music and why don’t you make a playlist where you arrange your favourite songs it may be melody, fast beat and party songs. When you are celebrating yourself then music plays a major role in up lifting your mood. Some people even have different playlist for different occasions. However it depends on your mood and interests about having different playlists.

12) Don’t be hard on yourself: Last but not the least tip which explains you be strong and don’t let your emotions control you to a greater extent. Never take things too seriously and be hard on yourself. Take things in a light way will help your mental health and makes you happy and relaxed.

  1. I love all the tips in this post, for me especially “Make a celebration playlist” because I love music and not only does it improve my mental wellbeing, it can be very uplifting especially if the lyrics are positive, I find it therapeutic. Thanks for sharing
